Since 1998, the Strategic Plan has guided development in New Albany by providing strategies to preserve character, reduce impacts of development and encourage sustainable development that enhances the community. As we embark on developing a new plan, we need to reflect on the past thoughtfully and look to the future with open minds to ensure we create the best plan for our community.
Today, we have more land, more people, new expectations and a need to envision what the next 10 – 15 years entail. Throughout this strategic planning process, please take the time to reflect on what you love about New Albany. Take a bike ride or a walk. Explore a neighborhood you’ve never been to before. Go to a program at the McCoy Center, or walk along the Rose Run Creek to hear the wildlife and the water rushing right through the Village Center. We hope you take the opportunity to allow yourself to dream – our only limit should be your imagination!
Please use this web section as a resource and check in periodically to review section updates. Staff is expected to present the plan to City Council in mid-2013.
